What we do: Since 1997 we have been working on theoretical studies of hybrid rocket engines and other low cost space technologies. Hybrid rocket engines are special, they are inherently safe but powerful and therefor very suitable for manned spaceflight, especially space tourism applications (e.g. the X-Price winner 'Spaceship One' ) or general small business approaches to space travel. In 2000 we started developing a mobile test infrastructure for hybrid rocket engines. This is a lot of work and still our main project. Antares Hybridraketen e.V. is a German private organisation.

Our goal is
a) to help developing the technologies and
b) to help preparing the public requirements
for a middle size companies space carrier business.

Our conviction is that every human being, what race, nationality and religion ever, should have the opportunity and the rights to reach new horizons outside Earth with low expense. We are aware of the political problems that come with this idea. We believe a free society must have enough room for expansion.

2006/05/13: Long Night of Sciences in Berlin

On Saturday 13th May you will have the possibity to meet us on the Long Night of Sciences here in Berlin. We will present there our testbed at the institut of aerospace ILA (Marchstr.), TU Berlin. Hopefully we will see you there!

2006/03/18: 3.AMRAS meeting in Oerlinghausen near Bielefeld, Germany

During the weekend from 17-19th March we visited the 3.AMRAS meeting in Oerlinghausen. Our intention was to contact other hybrid rocket groups in Germany. We met interested groups there and discussed differnt aspects of hybrid rockets. Especially we intensified contacts with FAR and ERIG. We suggested a meeting with those groups here in Berlin in sommer.
